Grow with their Flow

For parents raising uniquely wired children—and discovering their own wiring along the way.

I’ve always believed that every person carries a story—woven from moments of struggle, triumph, self-discovery, and quiet resilience. And yet, for much of my life, I felt like my own story didn’t quite fit the mold. I moved through the world feeling different, too intense, too sensitive, too much in my head. I pushed myself hard, excelled in academics through sheer effort, and built a meaningful career in occupational therapy, where I found purpose in helping others. But when I became a mother, everything changed.

Parenting has been the greatest, most humbling journey of my life. It has forced me to look inward, to unlearn, to sit with discomfort, and to grow in ways I never imagined. And when I realized that both my children are neurodivergent—each with their own beautiful, complex, and challenging ways of experiencing the world—it cracked me open even more.

Raising twice-exceptional children is a journey that doesn’t come with a guidebook. It’s a path filled with moments of awe at their brilliance, heartache at their struggles, and the constant balancing act of meeting their unique needs while also trying to take care of myself. I have questioned myself endlessly—Am I doing enough? Am I making the right choices? How do I support them without losing myself?

This blog, Grow With Their Flow, is my way of making sense of it all. It’s a space where I reflect on parenting, neurodivergence, and the ever-evolving process of rediscovering myself in the midst of raising my children. Because the truth is, as I guide them through their growth, they are shaping me just as much.

Through my words, I hope to:

  • Share honest reflections on raising neurodivergent children—the challenges, the small wins, the overwhelming love.
  • Explore personal growth and what it means to keep evolving as a parent and as an individual.
  • Create a sense of connection for those who feel like they don’t quite fit the mold, whether as parents, neurodivergent individuals, or simply as people navigating life’s complexities.

If you’ve ever felt the weight of raising a child who experiences the world differently, if you’ve ever questioned your own path while trying to guide another’s, if you are searching for a space where both parenting and personal growth are honored—then welcome. I hope my stories resonate, and I hope you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone.

Thank you for being here. Let’s grow together.
